Charlotte rapper addresses his involvement in a 2018 grocery store shooting on Masterpiece
DaBaby releases the d.a. got that dope-produced “Masterpiece.”
On the song, DaBaby raps, “I don’t know what went down at that Walmart/I don’t know what happened on that freeway.” It is in reference to when Jalyn Domonique Craig died at the scene of a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The charges against DaBaby were dismissed in March 2019 when a key witness became “unavailable,” according to the Charlotte Observer.
